“The Voice USA” champion Sofronio Vasquez is finally back in the Philippines after his historic win last month.
On Sunday, Jan. 5, the Filipino singer was welcomed by his mother, Aida.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, Sofronio expressed his excitement to meet his fellow Filipinos who supported him during his “The Voice USA” journey.
“Sa eroplano pa lang gusto ko nang tumalon eh. Very excited to be with the people who root for me. I get to be back and just as excited kung ano ang mangyayari,” the singer said.
Sofronio will be staying for two weeks in the Philippines to spend some time with his family and for some events that he will be performing at, like the Sinulog Festival in Cebu.
“I needed to finish all the press tours, commitments, and initial conversations with the record label, and hopefully after nito, roll na, work work work na ulit,” he continued.
“Fourteen to fifteen days, technically two weeks. Meron akong event sa Cebu for the Sinulog, first big event, first live event after the competition so sobrang excited ako,” added Sofronio.
He will also be appearing in “It’s Showtime” and “ASAP.”
