Korean talent agency JYP Entertainment introduced its newest K-pop boy group, KickFlip, through its pre-debut music video, “Umm Great.”
On Sunday, Jan. 5, the group dropped the music video, which also served as a pre-release single for KickFlip. The track is set to officially debut on Jan. 20 with their extended play, “Flip It, Kick It!”
KickFlip is the latest addition to JYP’s roster of male idol groups, following the success of Stray Kids, launched in 2018.
KickFlip consists of Kyehoon, Amaru, Donghwa, Juwang, Minje, Keiju, and Donghyeon.
KickFlip’s debut plans were initially set to roll out on Jan. 1, but the timeline was adjusted following the tragic Jeju Air plane crash last Dec. 29.
The disaster, which claimed the lives of 179 people and left only two survivors, prompted a national mourning period in South Korea that concluded on Saturday.
