Actress Kathryn Bernardo wrote a heartfelt, touching message for her mother, Min Bernardo, who recently celebrated her birthday.
Taking to Instagram, the box-office actress posted a series of throwback photos expressing her love and gratitude for her mom.
“They say you can’t choose your family, but if I had the chance, I’d still choose you to be my mom—over and over again,” Kathryn wrote.
The “Hello, Love, Again” star then acknowledged the ups and downs of their mother-daughter bond, noting how their disagreements have only strengthened their relationship.
“Our relationship may not be perfect (lots of fights and misunderstandings), but it’s the imperfect moments that made us stronger. They made me love you even more,” she continued.
Kathryn also credited her mom for shaping her into the person she is today.
“You’re a big part of who I am today, Mama. We don’t say it much, but we love you dearly. Your happiness will always be my happiness,” added Kathryn.
She concluded the post with a sweet and playful touch, describing herself as her mom’s “bunso, most kulit and stressful one.”
