Experiencing affordable luxury in Rizal

Some hours away from Metro Manila, the province of Rizal beckons with attractions tucked away in the mountains, boasting a perfect balance between nature and modernization. Now, local and foreign tourists can explore what Taytay and its neighboring cities offer through the Monaco Hotel, a rising star along the Ortigas Avenue Extension that promises to provide guests with affordable luxury.

The hotel is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream of Reynaldo A. Carpio, a licensed civil and geodetic engineer and the President of Grand Monaco Land, Inc. In the late 1980s, he experienced working for a hotel, learning its ins and outs, from housekeeping to managing. Eventually, he aimed to have his hotel someday. Carpio, a real estate developer, saw an opportunity from the land he purchased along the Ortigas Extension Avenue. What began as an investment became his first venture into the hospitality industry.

“During my many travels, I was fascinated with European architecture, especially its hotels, which boasted style and sophistication. I wanted to bring that similar experience to the Philippines through Monaco Hotel,” Carpio shared.

Guests will see the beauty of the hotel’s simple elegance upon entering its spacious lobby that’s brightly lit,  accentuated with rich, warm colors, and adorned with comfortable fixtures. The staff’s hospitality is also notable as they constantly provide service with a smile and readily anticipate the guests’ needs–it’s no less than what one would expect from Approche Hospitality.

Monaco Hotel has 100 rooms that come with well-curated amenities to welcome guests. The interiors draw inspiration from European design, emphasizing understated elegance, timeless appeal, and high-quality materials. It uses warm and light tones to invoke a classic and cozy vibe.

With its complete amenities and accessible services, Monaco Hotel prides itself on affordability, with its Standard Room priced at P2,888 and Deluxe Room with Twin Beds or a Queen Bed at P3,588.

The hotel has two kinds of rooms: Deluxe and Standard. Although the Deluxe is undoubtedly more spacious, both provide a comfortable respite for those who want to explore Rizal’s hidden gems or those looking to escape the hectic city life for a time.

On the fifth floor or roof deck is the Grimaldi Restobar, named after Monaco’s royal family.  It’s an apt name for a lounge decorated with plush seats and rich, warm tones. The interiors complement the delicious and satisfying food served from Monaco Hotel’s kitchen. While some dishes pay homage to Filipino favorites–with their pork binagoongan a must-try–Grimaldi also offers bar chow such as chips and dip or a hearty octopus dish and savory snacks like clubhouse sandwiches and various pastas.

Carpio envisions the Monaco Hotel to be a hub for business and leisure. The hotel has four function rooms to hold various events for local government units or private companies and individuals. It also has a pool where families and kids can cool off or take a refreshing dip.

Additionally, Monaco Hotel stands out for its strategic location that puts guests at the heart of Rizal. It only takes a few minutes to get to the Taytay Tiangge Complex or spend a day at the culturally rich Pinto Art Museum. Moreover, the hotel is well-integrated with the Monaco Strip, which brings together various businesses, like groceries, aesthetics, and food and beverage, so guests can conveniently access them without leaving the hotel.

Monaco Hotel’s presence in Taytay, Rizal, significantly boosts the city’s economy and tourism. But for travelers who simply want to enjoy the province, it’s a comfortable choice that brings a touch of elegance and accessibility at an affordable rate that’s worth every peso.
