Wesley Guo, the brother of ousted Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, expressed willingness to surrender to Philippine law enforcement authorities, according to their lawyer Stephen David.
David bared this information to reporters on Thursday morning before the state of the Senate subcommittee on Justice and Human rights hearing on various issues hounding the Guo family.
The Guo legal counsel said he is already coordinating with Philippine law enforcers for the surrender of Wesley. David said he spoke with him on Wednesday morning, but did not reveal his whereabouts.
“He (Wesley) would not definitely tell it,” David told reporters when asked of Wesley’s location.
David said Wesley told him he can no longer see the reason why he should be in hiding.
According to David, also the lawyer of Alice, he also told Wesley he should come out since “he has not committed any wrongdoing.”
Meanwhile, David said he believes Alice or Guo Hua Ping cannot be a state witness because she cannot give any critical information on the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) operations in the country as she was never involved in this illegal activity.
He said they are ready to face all the charges against the dismissed mayor. Alice Guo was arrested by Indonesian authorities on Wednesday morning.
