Actress Julia Barretto opened up about her experience as Tanduay’s Calendar Girl for 2024. She revealed that her boyfriend, Gerald Anderson, and her family approved of her sexy pictorial, thus it wasn’t a hard decision for her to do it.
Reflecting on her role as the calendar girl, Julia emphasized the empowering nature of the experience, stating that she feels secure in herself and her support system.
“From the very beginning, as always, and anything that I do, laging involved my family and my loved ones and, of course, also my partner,” Barretto said. “This is something they knew before I accepted it and even the shoot.”
“I’m blessed to have such a strong support system; it’s a significant factor. It’s a confidence booster,” she added gratefully.
The 26-year-old star expressed her satisfaction with Tanduay’s collaborative approach to the calendar’s shoots and layout.
“The process was collaborative, and they valued our opinions and thoughts on the layouts. There was a lot of back-and-forth and collaboration. I’m grateful that they included me in the process and valued my input.”
Meanwhile, Tanduay chose Julia as the 2024 Calendar Girl for her strength, confidence, and hardworking personality. In a statement, the brand highlighted her resilience in overcoming challenges and achieving happiness and success in her career.

Unveiled at Elements in ETON Centris, the 2024 Tanduay Calendar Girl was presented to the media. Tanduay’s creative team collaborated with Julia’s style team, and renowned photographer BJ Pascual was enlisted for the shoot.
Julia’s launch as the newest poster girl for Tanduay ushers in the celebration of the brand’s 170th anniversary in 2024. She will play a significant role in Tanduay’s celebration, which promises a lineup of activities showcasing the brand’s evolution and its impact on Filipinos, as well as its growing recognition among rum enthusiasts worldwide.
