The ceremony emphasized the awarding of medals and plaques to deserving personnel, along with CGPA Streamer Awards presented to four 4ID units.

Four military personnel and one CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA) were recognized for their exceptional dedication and outstanding achievements, having gone above and beyond their duties to contribute to the success of the Division’s mission.

The 30th Infantry Battalion, under the leadership of Lt. Col. Albert M. Batinga, received the Streamer Award for their successful efforts in dismantling Guerilla Front 16 of the so-called North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee (NEMRC), which significantly impacted the terrorist group.

Additionally, the 8th Infantry Battalion, led by Lt. Col. Marc Bien Stevens J. Deslate; the 26th Infantry Battalion, led by Lt. Col. Jose Rodentor Gilbuela; and the 58th Infantry Battalion, led by Lt. Col. Leoncito Grezula Jr., were also awarded for their excellent operational performance that resulted in the neutralization of numerous members of the CPP-NPA Terrorist (CNT) group, contributing to its dwindling numbers.

Lt. Gen. Galido congratulated all awardees for their outstanding achievements and praised the Diamond Troopers for their commitment to upholding high standards of excellence in both operational and administrative tasks.

“I’m so happy to personally pin the necessary streamers to your unit. You indeed carried out my instruction to perform well. I also want to congratulate all of you for supporting your commander, Maj. Gen. Cuerpo, in all his command initiatives for the good of the division. With this, your division has consistently been one of the best performers operationally and administratively,” said Lt. Gen. Galido.

Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Cuerpo expressed his deep gratitude for the honor and recognition personally given by the CGPA. He urged every Diamond Trooper to maintain exceptional performance and strive to become the best Diamond Trooper.

“This commitment is not only essential for achieving greater heights in the 4ID’s mission but also for serving the Filipino people and demonstrating love for our country,” stated the division.
