After conducting 25 training sessions over the period of 20 days, the Naval Forces Western Mindanao (NFWM) wrapped up their Mobilization Exercise 2024 in Zamboanga City.

The sessions involved lectures, drills, and hands-on activities for sailor and marine reservists while the exercises included Basic First Aid, Maritime Interdiction Operations, Water Search and Rescue, and Civil-Military Operations, among others.

Despite some weather-related adjustments, the training was deemed a success, highlighted by a notable CMO mission that benefited residents on Laminusa Island.

“Our military’s strength doesn’t just come from our weapons or technology but from the dedication and spirit of those who serve. Our reservists bring a unique and powerful blend of civilian skills and military discipline,” said Rear Admiral Francisco Tagamolila, Commander of NFWM.

The exercise ended with a ceremony led by NFWM officials, a celebratory “Reservist Night,” and a debrief designed to evaluate and improve the training.
