Disney has announced plans to expand the Marvel-themed area at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, including a new attraction. The announcement was made by Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Experiences, during the D23 fan event in Anaheim, California.

Concept art for the attraction was also revealed, as part of the resort’s ongoing multi-year expansion.

The new attraction will feature Marvel characters, including Spider-Man, who will demonstrate new technologies at the Stark Expo. The experience will involve a confrontation between Spider-Man and a villain, with guests positioned in the midst of the action.

The expansion, which is expected to draw Marvel fans to the resort, marks the third major addition to the immersive Marvel-themed experience with an extended area in Tomorrowland at Hong Kong Disneyland and will include all-new entertainment, shopping, and dining offerings.

The upcoming project expands the epicenter of the Marvel Super Heroes at Hong Kong Disneyland, attracting fans from around the world “to unite and fight against various villains from different stories across the Marvel Universe” noted its press statement.

The Marvel saga at Hong Kong Disneyland began with Tony Stark (a.k.a. Iron Man) choosing Hong Kong as the Asia headquarters of Stark Industries. The park also became the home of the Stark Expo, showcasing the largest and latest high-tech creations of Stark Industries.

Building on the success of its exclusive Marvel-themed attractions like Iron Man Experience and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!, which have captivated millions since their launches, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is excited to continue delivering heroic Marvel stories through its innovative and immersive experiences.

The resort’s ever-growing seasonal offerings, including a Marvel-inspired drone show and a variety of Super Heroes, promise to keep fans coming back for more.

Guests are required to purchase their tickets in advance and have a valid park reservation for their visit. Please refer to the latest visit arrangements on Hong Kong Disneyland’s official website: https://www.hongkongdisneyland.com/
