The Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) and the Bureau of Customs (BoC) held an exclusive meeting at the Diamond Hotel Philippines on July 5, 2024 to discuss pertinent customs topics and importation concerns.

The meeting, part of the 5th Customs Industry Advisory and Consultative Council (CICAC), was hosted by CFBCI led by its president Samuel Lee Uy.

Uy expressed gratitude to BoC Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio and 14 other BoC officials for addressing the inquiries of CFBCI members.

He assured the Bureau that CFBCI would continue to support their initiatives and reforms for better trade facilitation in the country.

The CICAC meeting, chaired by Rubio, was attended by BoC deputy commissioners and other officials, as well as nearly 300 individuals from foreign chambers, top companies in the Philippines and prominent industry groups.

The event served as a platform for open dialogue and collaboration between the BoC and the business community, reinforcing a strong partnership aimed at enhancing the customs and trade environment in the Philippines.
