The Bank of the Philippine Islands has turned over an initial P2.7 million to the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation to develop a multi-purpose infrastructure facility for shelter, livelihood, disaster preparedness, and recovery activities for the communities significantly affected by the recent Taal Volcano eruption.
BPI employees led the initial fundraising drive, where the amount they raised was matched by BPI Foundation. The second wave of fundraising will be open to the general public.
