President Rodrigo Duterte is set to attend on Wednesday afternoon the 116th anniversary of police service in the country.
Police service began in the Philippines in August, 1901 during the American Regime.

The event will be held at the PNP Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
Since Thursday (August 18) marks the President’s 50th day in office, he is expected to present some of his accomplishments.
The Chief Executive will also give recognition to some outstanding police units and personnel.
