Secretary Teodoro emphasized the significant progress made in bilateral defense cooperation, particularly in logistics and the defense industry.

He expressed appreciation for South Korea’s continued support of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Modernization Program.

In this context, Secretary Teodoro highlighted the anticipated delivery of a 3,200-ton patrol vessel for the Philippine Navy (PN), which will be named “BRP Miguel Malvar.”

During their discussions, Secretary Teodoro and Ambassador Lee also reflected on the recent declaration of a Strategic Partnership between their nations, which was established during ROK President Yoon Suk Yeol’s state visit to the Philippines in October 2024.

This meeting coincided with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and South Korea.
