Beko partners with ‘Takbo sa Kalikasan’, Pawicare to lead charge toward sustainable future

Beko, one of the most sustainable companies globally, firmly believes that healthy living is only possible on a healthy planet.

Beko was recently lauded by TIME Magazine and Statista’s first-ever list of the most sustainable companies in the world, ranking 44th out of 100 companies globally, and is the highest-ranking home appliance company in the list.

With a score of 75.68 out of 100, Beko aims to solidify its position at the forefront of sustainable manufacturing.

In line with this milestone, Beko Philippines is proud to champion its sustainability vision within the Filipino community with its partnership and support for Green Media Events’s Takbo Para Sa Kalikasan’s second element series, Water Run, held recently at the CCP Complex in Pasay.

The advocacy of the run on environmental stewardship is close to the heart of Beko’s commitment to sustainability as some proceeds from the event were provided to Pawicare, an independent group helping in marine turtle protection and conservation.

Beko also traveled to Pawicare in San Narciso, Zambales to personally learn about the importance of saving baby marine turtles and donated Beko appliances that will provide practical convenience to the volunteers.

Beko employees also united for the project by joining the run and organizing fun activities for over 6,500 runners, which enhanced the overall experience and added more excitement to the event.

Participants visited the Beko booth, where they were treated with pre- and post-run caffeine fixes. They experienced how to make freshly made coffee first-hand using the Beko coffee machine to customize the free drink to their liking. Participants also snapped photos in the booth for a chance to win free Beko appliances.
