P-pop boy group SB19 was awarded Favorite Asian Act at Nickelodeon’s 2024 Kids’ Choice Awards on Wednesday, July 17.

Sharing the exciting news on X on Wednesday, July 17,  the “P-Pop Kings” expressed their gratitude to both their fans and Nickelodeon for the recognition, describing it as “a dream come true.”

“Thank you, A’TIN and Nickelodeon! Winning Favorite Asian Act at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is a dream come true for us and for our country, The Philippines,” the group wrote in social post.

“Your support and recognition mean everything. We are honored and excited for what’s next!” the group wrote,” SB19 added.

SB19 won against K-Pop group ENHYPEN, Malaysian singer Iman Troye, Japanese girl group NiziU, and Indonesian singer Tiara Andini. Moreover, the “Gento” singers were the sole Filipino act nominated at this year’s KCA.

The award was the second win for a Filipino artist in the Favorite Asian Act category. In 2012, singer Charice (now known as Jake Zyrus) took home the trophy for the single “Pyramid.”

Formed in 2018, SB19, consisting of Pablo, Ken, Stell, Josh, and Justin, has become a leading force in the P-pop industry. Their hit songs like “Gento” and “MAPA” have garnered them widespread recognition.

Recently, they even showcased their talent on the popular Japanese YouTube channel “The First Take,” performing both tracks.
