Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, was recently honored at the 2024 United Nations Regional Asia-Pacific Women’s Empowerment Principles (UN WEPs) Awards.
The company was recognized as the national winner for the Gender-Inclusive Workplace Award, acknowledging its ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment.
Furthermore, Schneider Electric’s country president for the Philippines received the national Leadership Commitment Award and was named first runner-up in the Asia-Pacific region.
This recognition highlights her exceptional leadership in promoting gender equality.
“As a female leader, I recognize the challenges women face, but I also believe in their strength and potential. Our initiatives, like the Women with Impact mentoring program and Global Family Leave policy, empower women throughout their careers. I am proud to be part of an organization that works to break barriers and inspire an entire community to create lasting impact,” Schneider Electric Philippines president Ireen Catane.
The 2024 WEPs Awards is part of the new ‘UN Women Gender Action Lab: Innovation and Impact for Gender Equality in Asia-Pacific’ initiative supported by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the European Union.
