Actor Cedrick Juan caught the attention of fans and fellow celebrities with a humorous sketch about his memorable win at last year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), where he earned the Best Actor award for his role as Padre Jose Burgos in GomBurZa.
Coinciding with the recent Gabi ng Parangal for MMFF 2024, the video, posted on Instagram, showed Juan humorously interacting with a receptionist, repeatedly noting his MMFF 2023 Best Actor win.
“Congratulations to all the MMFF 2024 winners! Mula sa inyong MMFF 2023 Best Actor,” the caption read.
Celebrities such as Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Mikoy Morales, and Rocco Nacino joined in on the fun in the comments section.
While not nominated this year, Juan was part of the MMFF 2024 festivities as an actor in The Kingdom, which won 2nd Best Picture, along with Best Director, Best Production Design, Best Visual Effects, and the Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award.
