“It proves to show that no matter where you are in the world, you can be a pursuer of dreams. You can dream, you can dream big as long as you work hard to make it happen,” the It’s Showtime host said. “It’s about time for Filipinos to make a name all around the world.”

The wax figure wears an elegant cream-colored Dior ensemble, which she wore to Tiffany and Co.’s event in New York in April 2023.

“I wanted to have a classic and chic look because it’s going to be forever, and it will be immortalized. That’s why we chose this dress. And this look is exactly the look that I wanted to keep. And of course, we have the mic. Hindi pwedeng hindi mawala ang mic,” said Anne, who is the first Filipino actress and TV host to have a wax figure in the renowned museum.

“We thought it would be great for my wax figure to wear a costume that’s elegant and timeless. So when we chose this dress together with some jewelry pieces, everything just fell into place. It represented my classic style, which blended well with my passion for performing and hosting. This look was precisely who I am and how I wanted to inspire people who will engage with my wax figure,” Anne went on.

“As for the microphone, it has played a big part in my career as a TV host, giving speeches for UNICEF Philippines as a Goodwill Ambassador, or even singing,” she laughed.

The multimedia superstar also becomes the newest Filipino to be displayed at Madame Tussauds’ star-studded halls. She also made history as the first-ever Filipino actress and host to be displayed at the Hong Kong Glamour Zone, alongside Hollywood A-listers Brad Pitt, Nicole Kidman, Lady Gaga, Chris Hemsworth, and more.

According to an executive from Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, Anne was chosen for being a renowned actress recognized for her well-decorated 25 years of experience in show business. Her iconic movies and TV series include No Other Woman, BuyBust, Dosa, Dyesebel, Wag Kang Lilingon, and Sid & Aya: A Love Story. Some of these are acknowledged by the country’s biggest award-giving bodies, FAMAS Awards and Gawad Urian Awards. Beyond her acting and hosting career, she extends her influence as an entrepreneur and Celebrity Advocate for Children at UNICEF Philippines.

“I am beyond lucky to have been given this opportunity. This was a dream come true for me, especially to join artists at Madame Tussauds whom I also look up to. I can’t wait to be there with my fellow Filipinos and for our kababayans in Hong Kong to visit us,” she said.

With Hong Kong being one of the top destinations for Filipinos, Madame Tussauds ensures every visit is thrilling and unforgettable. By featuring Anne alongside other Filipino icons, the attraction aims to create a must-visit spot that resonates well with Pinoy tourists. They promise an experience where everyone can celebrate “Pinoy Pride” while enjoying an engaging and interactive space in the heart of Hong Kong’s vibrant metropolis.

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong’s Head of Sales and Marketing, BoBo Yu, expressed her excitement: “It was so great to work with Anne throughout the entire process of creating this. With her wax figure, we hope to bring a piece of home to our Filipino visitors. We’re also looking forward to the interactions her fans will have with the wax figure as we foster a platform where Filipinos shine.”

Anne’s “Kalokalike” (in reference to It’s Showtime‘s popular segment) will be available for viewing at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong starting Dec. 9.

Other Filipino icons featured at the attraction include Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, and People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao.
