Luisito Daumier Corilla of the Philippines won the title of Mister Global 2024 during the finals held in Bangkok, Thailand, on Sunday. The 29-year-old, 6-foot-4 model and actor outshone 31 other contestants from around the world.
Corilla, previously Manhunt Philippines 2019 and a Top 6 finalist in Mister Pilipinas Worldwide 2024, was born and raised in Las Piñas. He studied at Southville International School and Colleges in Las Piñas before moving to the U.S. at 18, where he earned a degree in Aviation Administration from Santa Monica College in California.
Corilla’s runners-up were Spain’s Manuel Romo (first), Nigeria’s Favour Ogbuokiri (second), Thailand’s Patrick Pho-ngam Forstner (third), and Brazil’s Luiz Mascarenhas (fourth).
During the Top 11 Q&A, Corilla highlighted the importance of ‘bayanihan,’ saying, “Philippine culture that I want to exercise globally is ‘bayanihan,’ which means one with your country, one with your community, and in simple terms, love your neighbor. Because if you start loving your neighbor, imagine the world peace that we can achieve, the conflicts and wars that we can prevent. If we apply this culturally all around the world, we can really make a difference.”
In the final interview, he was asked, “Can men be feminist?” Corilla answered, “Men can be feminist. It does not matter what role you do as long as you do it with passion, with care, with friendship, and with love. In today’s society, we cannot choose where we will end up, but we can choose how we end up there,” earning the judges’ approval.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old Cebuano model Brent Oliver Dalman was named third runner-up in Top Model of Universe 2024, held in Istanbul, Turkey, on Sunday. Dalman, a Nautical Engineering graduate and Misters of Filipinas 2023 first runner-up, also took home the Best in Interview and Mister Photogenic awards. The title went to Yoyo Teenarupakorn Muangmai of Thailand.

Bronx model wins Miss Asia Pacific International 2024
Janelis Leyba from the USA was crowned Miss Asia Pacific International 2024 during the coronation night held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City on Monday.
Leyba, a 20-year-old model and assistant teacher from Bronx, New York, became the first American to win the pageant, succeeding Spain’s Chaiyenne Huisman, who was the last titleholder in 2019 before the competition went on hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic.
When asked in the final interview how embracing diversity could positively impact society, Leyba responded, “Yes, embracing diversity can positively impact society because we would get to know that we are all one, we are all equal, no matter where we come from, no matter what we look like, no matter what our uniqueness is. Embracing each other’s differences is what’s going to make us unite together. Once we accept that we are all different, then we can accept that we are all one.”
Karen Nunez of Mexico was named first runner-up, with Selena Ali of Belgium finishing second runner-up. The Philippines’ Blessa Ericha Figueroa secured third runner-up, while Germany’s Jennifer Prokop placed fourth.
“We got third runner-up. I’m so happy we brought home a crown. Thank you for all your support,” Figueroa said after the coronation.
The Continental Queens were also announced, with Nigeria’s Chizuruoke Sufficient Arua named Miss Africa, India’s Sophiya Singh crowned Miss Asia, Guam’s Keshia Lee Llarenas named Miss Oceania, Bolivia’s Gabriella Padilla awarded Miss Americas, and Belgium’s Selena Ali winning Miss Europe.
The Miss Asia Pacific International 2024 edition, marking its comeback, celebrated the theme “Beauty in Diversity,” aligning with its #CelebrateEveryHue campaign, which highlights beauty in every story, background, and hue. The event is organized by the MAPI group, led by President Eva Patalinjug-Lim, Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia Pacific 2014 and Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2018.
