GMA Network unveils station ID ahead of 75th-year celebration

Station IDs for TV networks in the Philippines play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining strong brand recognition among viewers. Over the years, they have evolved into more than just promotional tools, becoming ingrained in popular culture.

With catchy lyrics, anthemic melodies, and the presence of beloved stars and personalities, these Station ids create emotional connections with audiences. They serve as a reflection of the network’s culture and values, encapsulating the essence of what the network stands for.

By featuring prominent personalities, these ids not only promote the network but also highlight the star power and influence of those involved. Thus, Station ids have become iconic representations of Philippine television, blending entertainment with a powerful branding tool.

On Friday, GMA Network,  in anticipation of the network’s 75th anniversary next year, unveiled its Station id. In a statement, the network said, “ It is not merely a lyrical celebration of GMA Network’s legacy in the broadcast media industry; it delivers a powerful message that serves as a promise and a call to always stand united with Filipinos.”

Bannered by some of GMA’s biggest stars and personalities, “Isa Sa Puso ng Pilipino” is performed by Julie Anne San Jose and other Kapuso singers, and was accompanied by the Orchestra of the Filipino Youth (OFY), a full orchestra under the organization Ang Misyon Inc., dedicated to offering free music education and support to talented, underprivileged Filipino youth.

Under the baton of Gerard Salonga and the guidance of professional mentors, the OFY curriculum is specifically curated for a high-quality youth orchestra. The lyrics were penned by Brian James Camaya, Christine Autor, Samantha Toloza, and Rina L. Mercado, with composition by Rina L. Mercado and arrangement by Roxy E. Fabian and Joe L. Cruz. The jingle was produced by Rocky S. Gacho.

GMA stars Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes led the roster of stars who headlined the video followed by Michael V, Dennis Trillo, Alden Richards, Barbie Forteza, and Julie Anne.
