PARIS (Via PLDT Home) — The Philippines’ Bianca Pagdanganan failed to replicate a strong second round, stumbling with a one-over 73 going into the final day of golf competitions in the 2024 Paris Olympics at the Le National Golf on Friday.

Pagdanganan now sits tied for 13th, seven strokes off the lead.

Teammate Dottie Ardina managed to salvage some pride with a late birdie-eagle finish, but her 69 wasn’t enough to propel her into contention at 23rd place.

Japan’s Yuka Saso, who used to represent the Philippines, also struggled, carding a 72 to remain well off the pace.

Switzerland’s Morgane Metraux and New Zealand’s Lydia Ko share the lead at nine-under par after roller-coaster rounds. Metraux recovered from a shaky start on the back nine with a stunning eagle on the final hole, while Ko missed a crucial birdie putt on 18 that could have vaulted her to the solo lead.

American sensation Rose Zhang and Japan’s Miyu Yamashita are hot on their heels, both carding rounds of 67 to share third place at 209.

Zhang’s round was a rollercoaster, with an eagle on 14 offset by a double bogey on 15.

Thailand’s Atthaya Thitikul sits alone in fifth, while Colombia’s Mariajo Uribe is in sixth.

World No. 1 Nelly Korda, aiming to defend her Olympic title, is tied for seventh with France’s Celine Boutier and China’s Xiyu Lin and Ruoning Yin.
