#ANONGBALITA: Clean record: Oil firm denies giving gas station to Roque

Oil player Cleanfuel set the record straight on rumors that one of its owners, Quezon City 4th District Rep. Bong Suntay, gifted actor Dominic Roque a gas station.

“We are categorically denying the allegation that Mr. Roque was given a Cleanfuel gasoline station. Being a company-owned entity, Cleanfuel does not provide nor extend franchise to anyone as claimed by some,” the company said in a statement.

The company said Roque, in his capacity as brand ambassador, has worked and represented the brand professionally for the past six years.

“His contribution has been vital to reflect the company’s image and brand success,” Cleanfuel said.

The actor, following various rumors that cropped up after his split with actress Bea Alonzo, denied Suntay was his “benefactor.”

Suntay, for his part, said he was “taking lightly” the innuendos initially.

“At first, I found it funny. In fact, I told my friends it had a positive effect because Cleanfuel got free advertisement and my followers also went up,” the lawmaker said.
