MORE than 130 vehicles were apprehended during the first anti-illegal parking operation of 2026 conducted by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s Swift Traffic Action Group (STAG).
The operation was launched Tuesday, with special focus on seven major thoroughfares in Quezon City, specifically East Ave., Elliptical Road, Visayas Ave., Congressional Ave., Mindanao Ave., North Ave., and Panay Ave.

“If a driver is present, the notice of violation will be handed directly to them. If no driver is present, the notice will be placed on the vehicle’s windshield,” said MMDA chairman Romando Artes.
The STAG team led by Edison Nebrija Jr. also conducted inspections throughout the day, educating drivers about proper parking regulations.
