The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced a significant reshuffle in its ranks, appointing three high-ranking officers to new positions in a bid to enhance operational efficiency and readiness.
In an order issued on December 2 and made public on Tuesday, PNP Chief Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil named Brigadier General Jerry Protacio as the acting chief of the PNP Human Rights Affairs Office.
Meanwhile, Brigadier General Neri Vincent Ignacio was designated as the officer-in-charge of the Directorate for Logistics, and Brigadier General Jericho Baldeo assumed the role of deputy chief at the Directorate for Information and Communication Technology Management.
Marbil emphasized that the reorganization is part of the PNP’s strategy to “preposition” leaders suited for their upcoming roles. He said they remain committed to their mission to protect the people and uphold peace and order.
The PNP Chief also highlighted the need for greater appreciation of police officers’ sacrifices, describing their work as a testament to bravery and dedication despite inherent risks.
