AirAsia Philippines announced on Tuesday its partnership with award-winning actor Joel Torre to bring his famous Bacolod Chicken Inasal, courtesy of JT’s Manukan Grille, on board their flights.

The airline decided to promote local cuisine by partnering with Torre’s Manukan Grille, known as the 5th Best Chicken Dish in the World by Taste Atlas.

AirAsia has been recognized for offering the best value for money and world-class service, serving over 100 million guests since the inception of Santan in 2018, the airline’s renowned food and beverage brand.

All AirAsia inflight meals are Halal certified, ensuring that they meet the dietary requirements of all guests while providing the best options.

The partnership with JT’s Manukan Grille aims to elevate the inflight experience of AirAsia guests, reflecting the airline’s core values of being affordable, clean, joyful, and delicious.

“Following our 15th Skytrax win as the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline, AirAsia Philippines is always committed to giving our guests the best value while also supporting local entrepreneurs,” said AirAsia CEO Ricky Isla.

Isla said they have started bringing the spirit of Filipino craftsmanship on board through partnerships with local artisans, offering guests Pinoy-made jewelry and apparels.

“This time, we want to elevate their in-flight experience to satisfy our guests gastronomically with JT’s Bacolod Chicken Inasal,” he said.

Torre, on his part, said “We are delighted to partner with AirAsia Philippines as this will give us a chance to showcase our Chicken Inasal to travelers from all over the world.”

Passengers flying on AirAsia Philippines flights can pre-book JT’s Bacolod Chicken Inasal via airasia.com and the AirAsia MOVE app for a price of P200.00, and this meal can be paired with other Pinoy favorite drinks.

AirAsia also invites its guests to stay tuned as the airline is set to unveil a series of all-time Pinoy favorite dishes under its Santan brand.
