Philippine, Cambodian forces complete training exercise in urban terrain

The Philippine and Cambodian armies concluded their 1st Joint Training Courses on Combat Tracking and Infantry Operations in Urban Terrain Training on Friday in Kampong Speu.

Army Spokesperson Colonel Louie Dema-ala said that participants from Special Forces Regiment (Airborne) and First Scout Ranger Regiment, together with their Cambodian Army counterparts engaged in rigorous training exercises designed to improve their skills in tracking enemy locations and conducting operations in urban terrains.

The program included classroom instructions, field exercises, and simulated combat scenarios to provide a comprehensive learning experience.

“The joint courses further fortified the defense relationship between the Philippines and Cambodia, paving the way for more comprehensive and integrated military training programs in the future towards a world-class, multi-mission ready and cross-domain capable Philippine Army,” Dema-ala said

Philippine Army Commanding General Lieutenant General Roy M. Galido and Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Cambodia Flerida Ann Camille Mayo graced the event.

The training courses aimed to enhance the operational readiness and interoperability of both armies by focusing on advanced combat tracking techniques and urban infantry operations.
