THE LTO-National Capital Region office has launched its website (www.ltoncr.com) to complement the official Land Transportation Office (LTO) central office site.
Director Roque Verzosa III said the website is designed to address the backlog in plate issuance, assisting vehicle owners, especially those who purchased their vehicles second-hand, in easily locating and claiming their plates.
The new platform aims to enhance communication and information dissemination by featuring regional announcements, public advisories, and an updated directory.
Verzosa said the key features of the website are online plate inquiry, and delivery option for replacement plates. During the website’s soft launch from January to July, he cited over 10,000 replacement plates were issued with more than 1,000 plates delivered through website requests.
He stressed the successful official launch of the website was a collaborative effort among all LTO-NCR offices, involving data collection, planning, implementation and the final launch. The project would help reduce congestion at LTO offices as people would no longer need to visit in person to check plate availability, and that this would allow staff to focus on other LTO services.
