Philippine jet fighters join Mindil Beach Flypast in Australia

The Philippine Air Force marked a significant milestone when two FA50 Fighting Eagles from the 7th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 5th Fighter Wing participated for the first time in the prestigious Mindil Beach Flypast held in Darwin, Australia.

This event was part of the international military exercise Pitch Black 2024, bringing together air forces from various nations for joint training, collaboration and large force exercise.

The participation signified a historic moment for the PAF, showcasing its capability and commitment to regional cooperation and international engagements.

The FA50 Fighting Eagles, renowned for their agility and precision, captivated spectators and aviation enthusiasts alike as they roared across the Darwin skyline along with other advanced fighter jets during the Flypast.

Philippine Contingent Commander Colonel Randy Pascua emphasized the significance of the participation in the Mindil Beach Flypast.

“This marks a proud moment for the Philippine Air Force. We are honored to have showcased the FA50 Fighting Eagle alongside our international counterparts in Pitchblack 2024,” Pascua stated.

Looking ahead, the Philippine Air Force remains committed to participating in future editions of Pitch Black and similar international exercises, contributing to collective security efforts and promoting peace and stability.
