AFP, PNP, PCG meet on peace and security

THE Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Thursday joined the 2nd Quarter 2024 National Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Center  (JPSCC) meeting at the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

The meeting was convened by the PNP and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

AFP chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr,, along with PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil and PGC commandant Adm. Ronnie Gil Gavan attended the said meeting aimed to review and discuss the significant accomplishments and planned activities of the JPSCC ‘s different Joint Cells.

During the summit, Brawner, Marbil, and Garvan signed resolutions that will create a Joint Cyber Cell and enhance information-sharing on troop movements.

In his message, Brawner emphasized how JPSCC exemplifies the strength of collaboration and the impact of concerted efforts of the three government agencies tasked with the peace, security, and order in the country.

“Through our joint initiatives, we can safeguard our nation and ensure the well-being of our communities. Our collective dedication is the cornerstone of a secure and progressive future for the Philippines,” Brawner said.

“The JPSCC remains the pivotal body responsible for planning and implementing security operations, monitoring peace situations, coordinating peace and security measures, initiating cross-training between organizations, and reviewing nationwide peace and security scenarios,” AFP said.
