Motivational speaker and author Francis Kong believes skincare is more than just vanity—it reflects discipline, professionalism, and respect for others.
Speaking at the launch of USANA’s latest skincare product, Kong emphasized the importance of self-care for men in building a credible and confident image.
“It’s part of discipline. I mean, sometimes, this is a portfolio for men—they have fancy cars, they have fancy watches, and everything, but they don’t have a very nice face because they don’t take care of it,” Kong told Manila Standard Lifestyle.
“I mean, you’re in business. It’s like you’re projecting failure if you don’t take care of your face. It is the respect I give to my audience and my clients as well. How can people believe in you if you don’t even take care of yourself?” he added.
Kong then described skin care as an integral part of professionalism, adding that it contributes to the “integrity of the message” a person conveys.
“It’s important for you to be professional, but they can see it in me. I mean, you’re not even taking good care of your hygiene and yourself, so what is it about you that I can believe in? So for me, it is part of the discipline,” the journalist continued.
USANA Philippines General Manager Cherry Ampig echoed Kong’s sentiments, emphasizing that skincare isn’t exclusive to women.
“All of us human beings need a good skincare routine. It is really very important because if you don’t, you’ll see the effects of aging much faster,” stated Ampig.
“You really have to take care of your skin. It doesn’t have to be a complicated routine—just cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and applying sunscreen can make a big difference. So it’s really very important also for men. Just like what I said, it’s not different. I mean, women and men alike, we have our skin to protect us,” she added.
With increasing exposure to UV rays and pollutants, skincare is more crucial than ever. Addressing these concerns, USANA introduced the Celavive Resurfacing Serum, a science-backed product designed to tackle key skin issues such as texture, tone, clarity, and firmness.
The serum combines advanced ingredients like AHAs, BHAs, mandelic acid, and bakuchiol to deliver visible results after just one use. With continuous application, it would also help reduce dark spots, fine lines, and breakouts, offering a comprehensive solution for healthier skin.
Launched on Jan. 6, the Celavive Resurfacing Serum has already made waves. During its two-day online pre-sale in December, the product sold out, with demand so high that a waitlist quickly formed.
As one of the brand ambassadors for USANA, Kong shared his personal experience using the serum, stating, “I thought my skin was fine, but after using the Celavive Resurfacing Serum, I realized it could be better. The transformation was incredible.”
Ampig, on the other hand, attributed the serum’s success to USANA’s commitment to science.
“We take pride in ensuring that every product we create delivers on its promise. The Celavive Resurfacing Serum is no exception. After just one use, you’ll see visible improvements,” she explained.
The Celavive Resurfacing Serum will be made available this month.
