EXACTLY 59 out-of-school and unemployed young Navoteños have successfully completed free skills training from the Navotas Vocational Training and Assessment (NAVOTAAS) Institute.
Twenty of the graduates earned national certification (NC II) in shielded metal arc welding, while 20 others passed the NC II assessment for barista.
Additionally, 19 completed the bread and pastry production training, with 18 receiving their national certification.
Aside from the certifications, the participants also received toolkits and allowances to help them kick-start their careers.
Mayor John Rey Tiangco commended the graduates for their commitment and perseverance, emphasizing the value of continuous learning and skills development.
He also encouraged the trainees to take advantage of other city programs, such as NegoSeminars offered by the NavotaAs Hanapbuhay Center, to further enhance their skills.
