Manila Electric Company (Meralco) announces a decrease of P0.3587 per kilowatt-hour in the electricity rate in October 2024 primarily due to lower generation charge. As a result, residential customers consuming 200 kWh will see a decrease of around P72 in their monthly electricity bill this month. Meralco vice president and head of corporate communications Joe Zaldarriaga also reminds the public to be vigilant and only transact with the distribution utility’s authorized personnel to avoid falling for fraudulent activities.
