According to travel booking platform Agoda, Siargao has been named Asia’s fourth most affordable tourist destination.
With average room rates of just P3,323, the island offers exceptional value compared to other popular Asian destinations. The data is based on bookings from June 15 to July 7 and projected rates for mid-August to late September.
Thailand’s Hat Yai, Indonesia’s Yogyakarta, and Malaysia’s Kuching claim the top three spots, respectively.
Known for its world-class waves, pristine beaches, and vibrant nightlife, Siargao has earned global recognition. It has been featured in Condé Nast Traveler’s Top 10 Readers’ Choice Awards and named one of the world’s greatest places by Time magazine.
Other affordable Asian destinations include Vietnam’s Dalat, Japan’s Narita, India’s Goa, Taiwan’s Taichung, and South Korea’s Busan.
Agoda’s data also reveals a surge in European interest in Asian travel, with Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, and the Philippines topping the list of preferred destinations.
