Coffee Project, the country’s most instagrammable coffee shop, celebrates the win of its coffee master, Kurt Opeña, during the recent 2024 Da Vinci Gourmet Barista Craft Championship in BGC, Taguig.
It is a sweet victory both for Coffee Project and Opeña — a fete showcasing the latter’s passion for coffee artistry, interwoven with Coffee Project’s love for exceptional taste and craftsmanship.
Armed with his wit and skills in crafting coffee beverages, Opeña’s version of Lemondrop Expresso Sunrise and Tsokolate Ehgg-nog got a spot in the judges’ score board.
Giving honor to Coffee Project where he worked for years, Opeña cannot hide his emotions — happy and grateful for the recognition — the first time he joined and got an award.
Opeña was one of eight participants who made it to the Philippines National Finals where baristas fought for a podium finish with over 150 submissions.
