Cebu Pacific reintroduced its Manila-Kaohsiung route, offering increased connectivity between the Philippines and Taiwan.

Kaohsiung is the biggest city in southern Taiwan, known for its port and tourist destinations.

The airline’s Manila-Kaohsiung flights will now operate thrice a week or every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Cebu Pacific chief corporate affairs officer Michael Ivan Shau said the Manila-Kaohsiung route marks an exciting chapter in the airline’s journey as it continues to expand its network and enhance connectivity across Asia.

“The relaunch of this route is more than just the restoration of a connection between two vibrant cities. It is a reaffirmation of our commitment to bringing people together, fostering closer ties, and promoting mutual growth and development,” Shau said.

Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista lauded Cebu Pacific for its ongoing initiatives catering to travelers from the Philippines.

“I am very happy that Cebu Pacific is expanding its operations. We have the same objective of providing comfortable, accessible, safe, sustainable and affordable travel experience to the riding public,” Bautista said.

To attract more passengers to fly, Cebu Pacific is offering for as low as P1,288 one-way base fare, exclusive of fees and surcharges from Manila to Kaohsiung from Aug. 16 to 25.

The travel period is from Aug. 16, 2024 to Jan. 31, 2025, allowing travelers to explore Kaohsiung right away with CEB’s exclusive seat sale.

Cebu Pacific operates in 35 domestic and 26 international destinations spread across Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
