The National Museum of the Philippines (NMP) has opened a photo exhibition at the Senate of the Philippines titled “Bengy Toda: Selected Photographs from the National Fine Arts Collection of the National Museum of the Philippines.”

Displayed at the main entrance hall and the lobby of the Senate, the exhibition features 14 photographs, in either large or medium formats, showcasing picturesque views of various places in the country such as the rice terraces of Mayoyao, Hungduan, Banaue, and Lamut in Ifugao, Mt. Mayon in Albay, and the waterfalls in Siniloan in Laguna, Tanay in Rizal, and Atimonan in Quezon.

The featured photographs in the exhibition are by photographer Bengy Toda, who made his debut with the “Chasing Mountains” exhibition in 2012 at Whitespace Manila, featuring photos of various terrains from the Northern and Southern parts of the country. His “Chasing Waterfalls” exhibition followed in 2015, which was launched at the National Museum of Fine Arts before being brought to NMP-Ilocos in 2016 and NMP-Marinduque in 2020.

The exhibition was launched last July 22 alongside the opening of the Third Regular Session of the 19th Congress.
