A township in Atimonan, Quezon is leading the way in showing what can be done when people work together.
Through the Kaisa sa Kasanayan at Kabuhayan program initiated by Atimonan One Energy, Inc. (A1E), successful livelihood projects —mostly revolving around fishing, farming and service needs–now boost family incomes for some 63,000 residents in this province of 42 barangays.
These include the Gulayan sa Bakuran sa Carinay, and “Perfect Cut” salon projects managed by the Atimonan Coastal Food Production Association (ACFPA), Atimonan Haircutters Association, Heavenly Touch Therapeutic Massage Association and Villa Ibaba Handicrafts Association (VIHA).
“Thanks to A1E for helping us introduce our spanish sardines, among others, to markets outside Atimonan,” said ACFPA president Maritess Atienza.
Shown here are some of the fruits of the shared dream of Atimonan’s homeowners and A1E for a thriving community, where their children can give and live their best life.
