Las Piñas celebrates first ever Pride Month

Senator Cynthia Villar led the first ever Pride Month celebration in her hometown Las Piñas City and reminded the public to reject all kinds of discrimination.

Villar participated in the festivities hosted by the city to acknowledge persons who identified with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual and other non-binary individuals (LGBTQIA+).

Villar was impressed with the unique and vibrant costumes worn by gay participants during the Pride Parade and the ‘Las Piñas Binibining Bahaghari 2024’ beauty pageant.

An awards ceremony was held later at The Tent to honor members of the LGBTQIA+ community, who excelled in the fields of beauty and fashion, culture and arts, sports, community service, education and academe, and livelihood.
