Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) started restoring normal operations in Dubai following heavy rains, flooding, and thunderstorms that affected all carriers and hundreds of flights.
In a statement on Friday, CEB management advised its passengers that it is currently working hard to restore its operations in Dubai in the aftermath of the bad weather conditions.
“The adverse weather condition has caused widespread disruption to flights throughout the United Arab Emirates, which has subsequently resulted in significant congestion at the Dubai International Airport.”
Over the past few days, Dubai airport authorities have implemented multiple necessary restrictions to try to ease congestion and facilitate a gradual recovery process.
CEB said this has an ongoing impact on its operations.
“We anticipate that the situation may persist for a while,” the airline said. Joel E. Zurbano
“Our top priority has been to bring our passengers to their intended destinations as soon as conditions permit. In the process, there have been delays in the delivery of baggage from Dubai. Rest assured that CEB is working with Dubai airport authorities to ensure that passengers will receive their baggage as soon as possible,” it added.
To reduce congestion, CEB passengers were advised to proceed to the airport only when they have confirmed bookings. Passengers are also encouraged to check the status of their flights via https://www.cebupacificair. com/flight-status before proceeding to the airport.
The airline is offering flexible options, which include free rebooking and a travel fund, to passengers who wish to postpone their flights to and from Dubai scheduled until April 24, 2024. They may avail themselves of their preferred option online up to two (2) hours before their scheduled time of departure.
