The Philippine Navy encourages qualified patriotic Filipinos to enter the naval force this year as the organization needs an additional 431 officers and 2,034 enlisted personnel.
“Your country needs you,” Navy spokesperson Captain John Alcos said during a recent Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) briefing.
Interested applicants are invited to visit the Navy Personnel Management Center website for more details.
Alcos said the Philippine Navy also opened positions for journalists who want to serve in their Civil Military Operations Group.
The naval unit comprises highly specialized personnel who have specific functions to perform both during wartime and peacetime.
“As such, as a modern organization, we have an appropriate number of personnel for each field of specialization both serving aboard our warships and ashore,” Alcos noted.
