Following her head-turning appearance on the red carpet of the Asia Star Entertainer Awards young actress Francine Diaz made noise on social media after mispronouncing the name of the K-pop boy group Tomorrow X Together.

Francine was invited as one of the presenters at the awards event held on Wednesday, April 10, at the Yokohama Arean in Japan.

The 20-year-old artist was tasked to announce the winner of the ASEA Global K-Pop Leader Award. When called on stage to present the award, Francine was introduced as “the actor who is the most influential in the Philippines”.

Before calling the winner, the “Dirty Linen” star introduced herself to the global stage and described herself as someone who are “interested in various fields”.

“Good evening, everyone. I am Francine Diaz. I am an actress from the Philippines. For starters, it’s an honor to be invited to global awards where music becomes one. Actually, I am interested in various fields. So, I am an actress, a model, a vlogger, and a singer,” said Francine.

The young artist also shared her latest project in music which was a duet with Korean actor Seo In-guk and expressed her hopes to collaborate with other Asian musicians after watching performances during the event.

“Honestly speaking, I am falling in love with music too. I recently sang a duet song called ‘My Love’ with Korean top star Seo In Guk. It’s a really special experience to me,” she continued.

“So, while watching these amazing musicians’  performances, I can’t help but dream to collaborate with them in the future. As much as winning the hearts of fans all over the world, the power of Asian musicians is truly incredible,” added Francine.

After her introduction, Francine then announced TXT (Tomorrow x Together) as the recipient of the ASEA Global K-Pop Leader Award. However, she mistakenly called the group “Tomorrow Times Together” instead of “Tomorrow By Together”.

Instead of receiving backlash, netizens found it cute and even said that most people often called the group by different names like what Francine did.

Moreover, MOAs (TXT fans) even describe Francine’s mistake as a “premonition” as the group kept winning on that night.

“Francine saying ‘tomorrow times together’ feels like a premonition to multiple awards. [TXT] just received their 4th ASEA award this night,” a fan tweeted.

“Maybe Francine Diaz was onto something when she said Tomorrow Times Together because the awards just kept multiplying,” another netizen wrote.

TXT also won the awards: Artist of the Year, The Platinum Award, and Best Performance (Group).

Aside from TXT, the prestigious event was attended by some of South Korea’s biggest names such as Treasure, Billie, Day6, Girls’ Generation Kwon Yuri, 2PM member Taecyeon, Stray Kids, and The Boyz.
