WSI founding chairman Joseph Ang said this year’s theme “Drawn to Ascendency” encapsulates the collective journey of WORLDBEX towards progress and innovation in the word of building and design.

“WORDLBEX has become the cornerstone of innovation and collaboration within the industry. As we explore the latest trends and technology, let us embrace the spirit and collaboration and excellence among ourselves,” Ang said.

Distinguished individuals and associations, Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano, Rep. Lani Mercado, Assistant Secretary Agaton Teodoro Uvero and Senator Mark Villar were among those who participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Exhibitors include Filipino-Chinese entrepreneurs who established partnerships with Chinese manufacturers and suppliers.

The collaborative arrangement often involves sourcing raw materials from China and subsequently assembling and manufacturing the finished products in the Philippines.

The collaborations leverage the strengths of both regions, combining the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of Chinese manufacturing with the local expertise and market knowledge of Filipino-Chinese entrepreneurs.

It contributes to the diversity and competitiveness of the products showcased at WORLDBEX.

“Our business provides cost-effective and world-class lighting systems. We have been in the industry for so many years. We are looking forward to building networks and having more clients in this event,” said Rem Ngo, marketing manager of Sheratone Industries Inc., one of the exhibitors.

The majority of exhibitors operate their businesses through online platforms and physical stores. They said that having online shops significantly enhance their sales performance.

Several Filipino-Chinese businesses were passed down through generations, highlighting the continuity of family ownership and management within these enterprises.

Buyers can take advantage of discounts up to 60 percent offered by the exhibitors. Aside from the business booths, WORLDBEX 2024 is set to host a series of talks, workshops and seminars led by industry experts and leaders, focusing on global sustainability and innovation.

Attendees can anticipate engaging activities and captivating highlights in the world of architecture and design as well as updates on the industry technologies and networking opportunities through business matching.

Meanwhile, WORLDBEX Likha showcases Filipino artisan craftsmanship, highlighting traditional weaving, pottery and textiles.
