Highlights Caloocan’s achievements in education to 5,000 teachers
Over 5,000 public school teachers from various elementary schools in the Caloocan attended Ulat sa Guro 2023, which was spearheaded by City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan and the city Schools Division Office (SDO) on Tuesday, December 5 at the Caloocan City Sports Complex.
The event, with the theme “Masayang Sama-Sama Kahit Iba-iba: Pagdiriwang ng mga Kaloob na Talento” aimed to report the achievements of the city and the plans for improving educational programs in the city.
Mayor Along expressed his gratitude to the teachers who have continued to sacrifice almost all of their time and effort just to give the best quality of education to their students.
“Batid po natin ang hirap ng mga ginagawa ng isang guro at ang mga sakripisyong inyong pinagdadaanan upang siguruhin na maayos niyong nagagampanan ang inyong mga tungkulin sa paaralan at sa mga mag-aaral. Saludo po ako sa inyo,” Mayor Along said.
The City Mayor likewise declared that the city government will always find ways to lessen the burden shouldered by the city’s teachers through progressive policies and new school infrastructures.
“Tuloy-tuloy po ang prayoridad na ibinibigay natin sa pagpapagawa ng mga bagong imprastraktura na makakatulong sa pagtuturo ng mga guro at sa mas madaling pagkatuto ng mga estudyante, gayundin ang pakikipagtulungan natin sa SDO sa kung ano pang mga polisiya ang maaari nating ipatupad upang mas paunlarin ang edukasyon sa lungsod,” Mayor Along stated.
“Kaya naman po sa ating mga guro, asahan niyo na lagi niyong kaagapay ang aking administrasyon pagdating sa inyong mga tungkulin. Kasama niyo po kami sa paghubog sa mga Batang Kankaloo upang maging mga mahuhusay at responsableng mga mamamayan,” he added.
