Robert Saret, 53

Robert Saret of the Ligao City environmental office passed away yesterday, July 7, due to diabetes complications. He was 53.

Robert had been a public servant for over two decades, dabbling in local politics and working for the local government for the last ten years. Colleagues fondly remember him for being a straight and strict environmental inspector. He was also known for his exceptional basketball skills in his younger years.

He is survived by his mother, Zenaida; his wife, Thelma Arnival; children Paula, Nino Bryzon, Peter, Villy, Claudine, Jester and YanRey; and siblings Judith Sanchez, Mary Vivian Jimenez, Mary Agnes Rivera, Rosemarie Santos and Dulce Marie.

His body lies in state at the Nuestra Señora de Salvacion in Centro, Ligao City.

He will be transferred to the Saret residence in Diaz St., Tinago, Ligao City, on Wednesday, July 10. Interment will be on Monday, July 15. He will be laid to rest at the Ligao Catholic Cemetery in Guilid, Ligao City
