Actress Jessy Mendiola, without batting an eyelash, declares that she is no longer interested in working with fellow Kapamilya talent Enrique Gil on screen again.
It can be remembered that the two figured in an unpleasant incident on their flight to London in 2015 for an ASAP presentation.
“I think it is better that way. Let’s just leave it as it is. Personally, I’m okay with the idea,” she says.
When it comes to JM de Guzman though, she has a different stand. It’s no secret that the actor is her former boyfriend and they parted ways at the same time with her rift with Enrique.
“I’m already prepared and willing to work with him. Perhaps, he’s the one who’s not ready,” she directly says adding, “Please, don’t get me wrong. I’m just assuming. Maybe, it’s not yet time.”
For the lovely lass, it’s still their mother studio that will decide.
“Of course, they are the ones who call the shots,” she states. “It depends on ABS-CBN. The management has the say as to the projects we’re doing. They haven’t offered a project to me and JM yet so I guess, it’s not yet time. Let’s just wait and see.”
Lately, there were rumors that she will be moving to rival network GMA-7 soon.
“There’s no truth to that. I haven’t received any feelers from the Kapuso management. Besides, I have no plans of leaving my present station. But if there’s more work in GMA, why not? It’s just as of now, I’m still very much in touch with ABS-CBN,” she confirms.
Meanwhile, Jessy sheds light on why there are occasions when she answers back to her bashers in social media.
“I think it’s just right if, at times, you face this kind of people so that they’ll know the truth. I think that doesn’t make you a ‘patola.’ If you feel that things need to be clarified and corrected, then why won’t you speak your mind out, right? It’s more of letting the other person know the truth,” she explains.
Jessy doesn’t see anything wrong with talking back to bashers and trolls. She thinks it’s the right thing to do.
“It’s not healthy on your part if you will just keep mum even if negative words are already being hurled at you. In the first place, stars are also human beings. We are capable of getting hurt, too. If we feel that things are already below-the-belt, we have the right to assert ourselves. Call it ‘patola’ but for me, it’s just but apt to get their facts straight,” she affirms.
Jessy is also thankful to her boyfriend Luis Manzano who has been helping her out when it comes to handling bashers.
“He’s got a very healthy attitude in confronting bashers. He doesn’t get affected. He just treats it as a joke,” Jessy avers.

Kapamilya star Arjo Atayde is now more vocal in expressing his affection for the apple of his eyes Maine Mendoza.
“Perhaps, at this point, with the person who’s always with me, with my loved one, I’m super inspired. Right now, I know where I stand, I know my worth, I know who I am, I know what path I really want to take and what I really want to show them,” he says.
Many are curious about the way he shows his love for the popular Kapuso.
“Spending quality time together is on top of my list. I’m the clingy type. Her company is one thing I love so much. So, it’s always something I look forward to.”
Arjo reveals that he’s “old school” when it comes to love. He goes for the formal and traditional way of wooing the person he likes.
“There’s nervousness all the time. Especially when you face the family. That’s what I exactly felt when I first met Maine’s family.”
In spite of this, Arjo insists that he and Maine are still on the dating stage.
“For the record, that’s the status of our relationship. It’s still there,” he ends.
