The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has seized suspected smuggled rice worth P 120 million.
PCG Spokesperson Commander Armand Balilo says, the contrabands were confiscated after the Coast Guard inspected a Liberian-flagged vessel travelling in Zamboanga Sibugay.

The operation was triggered by a tip received by the PCG.
The boat captain claims, they were heading to Cagayan de Oro.
He, however, failed to show document showing the origin and destination of his cargoes.
The smuggled rice have been taken to Zamboanga port.
The captain is now in the custody of local authorities.
