CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna—Calabarzon Police Regional Director Chief Supt. Ma. O Ranada Aplasca on Tuesday welcomed back the 141 members of the Public Safety Force who were deployed to augment the troops in Marawi City.
During the ceremony, Aplasca also led the awarding of Medalya ng Papuri to the troops for carrying their individual tasks effectively and efficiently.
“As your Regional Director, I would like to thank and congratulate all of you for this job well done, and you have truly shown not only in PRO4A but in the entire PNP and the country that members of Calabarzon can be relied on, can be trusted, and are responsible to perform any mission that will be given to us by the Commander in Chief,” Aplasca said.
The first batch of the Regional Public Safety Battalion 4A, composed of 70 personnel, were deployed from June 26 to August 19. The second batch of 71 members from the Provincial Public Safety Company of the five provinces in the region were deployed from August 19 to October 29.
The contingents served a significant role, making sure the entry and exit points from the battlefield were secured. They also provided public safety services like checkpoints and patrolling.
“We owe it to all of you for living up to the standards of Police Regional Office Calabarzon of doing the job properly without casualty, without any complaint, and without any problem. We and the entire community join hands in recognizing your efforts, your dedicated and unselfish service,” RD Aplasca said.
Police Chief Inspector Alfredo E Lorin Jr., as the contingent’s commander, shared his thoughts and experiences in behalf of the contingent. “We are the Philippine National Police, which is national in scope, so that in any part of the country we are willing to serve,” he said.
The contingent’s families, love ones, friends, and colleagues gave roses showing their love and support.
