Cebgo, a subsidiary of Cebu Pacific Air, last week launched two new routes from Cagayan de Oro, one to Bacolod and another to Tagbilaran in an event attended by (from left) Tourism Undersecretary Katherine De Castro, Cebgo President and CEO Alexander Lao, Misamis Oriental Gov. Yevgeny Vicente Emano, and Eddie Alejandro of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines in Cagayan de Oro’s Laguindingan Airport. The new inter-regional flights will further improve air connectivity around the archipelago according to the Department of Tourism, which also expects the new routes to further boost domestic tourism by enhancing the cluster or regional tourism concept of the agency. CEB flies four times a week between Cagayan de Oro and Tagbilaran and three times a week between CdO and Bacolod.
