BiÑan, Laguna—Two persons were killed while another was in critical condition after two unidentified assailants shot them during the Simbang Gabi Wednesday night at the San Antonio Parish Church in Barangay San Antonio here.
Allan Fernandez and Christine Joy Sailog died from their gunshot wounds while Rowena Flores was still in hospital, Biñan City Chief of Police Supt. Serafin Petalio said. Fernandez was on the police drug watchlist, he added.
Fernandez, a security guard, was watching over the church during the evening Mass when the attackers shot him. Sailog and Flores were hit by the stray bullets, and along with Fernandez were rushed to Biñan Doctors Hospital and Perpetual Help Hospital. But the two were declared dead on arrival.
