BYD has introduced the latest addition to its leading EV lineup in the country – the Sealion 6 DM-i compact SUV. Distributed by ACMobility, the Sealion 6 DM-i is now available at BYD showrooms across the country, priced at Php 1,548,000.
Powered by BYD’s innovative Super DM-i technology, the Sealion 6 DM-i promises to address the persistent issue of range anxiety that has hindered the widespread adoption of EVs. The electric compact SUV boasts an impressive total driving distance of over 1,000 kilometers, a feat recently demonstrated in a four-day, 1,608-kilometer drive around Luzon, which was observed and documented by the Automobile Association Philippines.

At the heart of the Sealion 6 DM-i is BYD’s cutting-edge Super DM-i technology, which seamlessly integrates a high-performance electric motor with a range extender. This unique powertrain, paired with an Electronically-Controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (E-CVT), aims to provide drivers with the benefits of an EV without the limitations of range.
The Sealion 6 DM-i’s advanced powertrain features a 197 PS permanent synchronous magnet motor, an 18.3 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate Ultra-Safe BYD Blade Battery, and a range extender that allows for the impressive total driving distance.
Complementing its exceptional performance, the Sealion 6 DM-i boasts a bold and sleek exterior design with BYD’s innovative Ocean X Face and Glistening Combination Headlamps. The interior exudes refinement, offering leather seats with heating and ventilation, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen with advanced connectivity features.
